Marie, the daughter of a miner, is pregnant and has been abandoned by the father of her child. Taken in and married by a fellow miner, she sees her former lover suddenly reappear and assert his rights over her. A violent altercation then breaks out between the two men in the mine shaft. A gas leak triggers an explosion that buries them. Luciano Albertini performed sensational stunts at dizzying heights, filmed on the cliffs of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains or on imposing railway bridges.
